Ja da er det bare å ta en titt til Marokko!! Jeg kan ikke reise nå men er såååååååå reisesyk og da hjelper det ikke akkurat med fantastiske bilder fra Marokko. Hvordan jeg har gått glipp av denne fantastiske riaden vet jeg ikke, men jeg skal definitivt besøke den neste gang jeg skal nedover. Dar Nanka heter stedet, se og nyt:)

Look towards Morocco.. I can`t travel right now but would SO love to, especially when I see beautiful pictures like these from Marrakech. I don`t know why I haven`t noticed this STUNNING riad before but I will definetly check it out on my next trip. The place is called "Dar Nanka" and frankly, what`s not to love about this place...? :)

Jeg trenger hjelp her!! Jeg tenkte å dekorere skråtaket over deler av terrassen men endel lamper. Jeg liker veldig godt disse men lurer på hvilken form og farge. Tenkte å henge opp 6 stk, så spørsmålet er skal jeg ta alle i samme farge og fasong (isåfall hvilken farge??), samme farge og forskjellig fasong eller en miks av farger og fasonger? Jeg har allerede svarte rottingmøbler med hvite puter, noen sorte lykter og stort sett grønne planter på verandaen. Hva synes DU???

I need help choosing!! I`m thinking about buying maybe 6 of these lamps to decorate my balcony. The problem is that I can`t choose which ones.. Should I take 6 with the same color/shape (then which color do you prefer?), all 6 same color but different shapes, or a complete mix of colors and shapes? I have already decorated the balcony with black furnitures with white pillows, some black lanterns and mostly green plants. What do YOU think??

Merkelig nok fikk jeg ikke ryddet hagen ferdig ifjor ei heller plantet en eneste plante... :) Men NÅ er jeg igjen inspirert og har begynt å leke med tanken på hvordan jeg vil ha det. Problemet er at jeg ikke har NOE peiling på hage design, planter eller busker så jeg må jo si at jeg sliter noget;) Men jeg har skjønt at dette er en prosess og må nøye meg med å starte med deler av hagen, så da skal jeg starte med lysthuset og verandaen/tilhørende bedd. Jeg synes også det er veldig vanskelig med tanke på det uforutsigbare klimaet, hadde vært så mye enklere om vi var garantert sol og sommer fra mai-september. Jeg ønsker en blanding av grønne planter og trær, lilla blomster, japansk inspirert hage og marokkanske uteplasser, så da får vi se da.. Her er litt inspirasjon ihvertfall:) Så hvem er den "heldige" hage designeren som vil gjøre drømmen min virkelig..??? Hehehe...

When I look back I realise I didn`t plant a single three or plant last year and really need to get busy. I got my inspiration back, and I`ve just started planning how I would like my garden to turn out. The only problem is that I don`t know ANYTHING about garden design, plants and flowers.. LOL.. The only thing I`ve learned is that it is a process and I will have to start with a small area of the garden. I think I will start with the 2 terraces and the small areas surrounding them. Another problem is the climate. Here in Norway we never know if it will rain, snow or be sunny so this is a BIG challenge as I would love a moroccan inspired terrace. Hopefully my garden will be a mixture of green plants and threes, purple flowers, japan inspired style and moroccan spaces. (Wish me luck..;) Here`s some inspiration, enjoy:) So WHO is the lucky garden designer that wants to make my dream come true..? LOL...

Jeg har allerede begynt å få "Marokko abstinenser", det er altfor lenge siden jeg har vært der nå!!! I den forbindelse vurderer jeg seriøst å leie en container neste gang jeg reiser for å få med så mange skatter som mulig:) Jeg leker allerede med tanken på hva jeg skal kjøpe, og her er en foreløpig "Marrakech ønskeliste":

I`m already longing like crazy for Morocco, it`s been TOOOOO long since my last trip, have to go back very soon! I think I`m going to rent a container so I can bring back lots of moroccan treasures:) I`ve already got a small idea of what I`ll be bringing, so here`s my "Marrakech wishlist":

I love this table and the white lamp in the background!! I might be "crazy" and go for white tables for my purple, moroccan guestroom, but the lamp would be great in gold or dark brown

I love the "star" lamp and also the lamps standing on the floor. These I would absolutely buy plenty of, for my outdoor space, in dark brown

I LOVE the gold lamps on the floor, need at least one of these, and would be great with the same lamp as the one hanging on the wall, but in gold

Again, a beautiful "star lamp", just have to figure out where to hang it;)

These doors are just AMAZING!!! I would like the same pattern but as a window screen in my livingroom

If not possible, I will be able to settle for this one;)

I love the gold lamp in the middle, need more moroccan floor lamps:)

I would like 2 pendant lamps similar to these for my entrance. I need more light in that room so it would be perfect with clear glass combined with a black/dark brown "frame"

Jeg kjøpte ett par rammer i Marrakech for ett par år siden og har endelig fått somlet meg til å male den første og sette inn glass. Jeg ELSKER formen på den, den ser ut som en typisk marokkansk dør, skikkelig 1001-natt:) Jeg er fremdeles litt usikker på hvor jeg skal ha det og prøver meg frem. Jeg synes den er veldig fin bak mitt marokkanske mosaikk bord og liker at gjenskinnet fra tapeten på motsatt vegg gir kul effekt i speilet. Jeg skal uansett få hengt det høyere på veggen slik at hele den fantastiske rammen kommer til sin rett. Hva synes du?

I bought a couple of frames in Marrakech a couple of years ago and have finally found the time to paint and put a mirror in the first one. I LOVE the shape of it, very moroccan and "1001-night":) I still haven`t decided exactly where to put it but I think it looks great behind my moroccan mosaic table. It`s also quite nice to see the wallpaper on the opposite wall reflect in the mirror. I will put the mirror higher on the wall though so I get to see the whole frame as it is truly beautiful. What do you think?

Tenkte at jeg skulle poste noen bilder av de 2 andre soverommene som jeg har malt med maling fra "Pure&Original". I det første rommet har jeg brukt en matt maling som får en slags betong look, i lilla:) Det andre rommet er malt med "Marrakech" malingen (som også er vannfast og kan brukes på bad), fargen er en nydelig brun/lilla farge. Rommene er ellers ikke helt ferdige, men dere får hvertfall ett inntrykk...

I just wanted to post a couple of pictures of the 2 other bedrooms in my house. I`ve painted them both with painting from "Pure&Original", which I really love. In the first bedroom I`ve used a painting that gives a "concrete" look in purple color. The other one is painted in "Marrakech" (which is also water proof ), it lookes like real tadelakt and the color is brown/purple. I`m still not finished decorating the rooms but at least you`ll have an idea what it will look like...

I`m still hopelessly, desperatly in love with rose gold!! I do have 2 rose gold watches and a couple of rings now but I`m still (almost) dying for these watches and rings!! If I were to win the BIG lottery tomorrow, I would RUN to the store and shop the Rolex Daytona rose gold watch along with a beautiful, ethnic rose gold ring with champagne diamonds. As you may understand, I`m really good at dreaming;) Which ring is YOUR favorite??

Jeg tenkte at jeg skulle dele noen av bildene fra Thailand med dere. Det har vært en fantastisk tur med alt fra jungel besøk, elefant ridning, besøk på tiger tempelet, besøk på sykehuset, late dager på Phi Phi og frivillig jobbing hos "Soi dog" Phuket. Thailand kan som vanlig anbefales på det varmeste!!

Here are some pictures of my latest trip to Thailand. It was an amazing trip where we did lots of different things: Jungle trekking, elephant riding, visit at the tiger temple, visit at the hospital, lazy wonderful days at Phi Phi island, and volunteer work at "Soi dog shelter" in Phuket. If you havent been to Thailand, hurry up to book your ticket;)

ADOPT a Soi dog from Thailand??

Hei mine venner:)
Da er jeg tilbake fra en fantastisk tur i Thailand, det har vært en opplevelsestur av dimensjoner med alt fra jungeltur, tiger trening, elefant ridning, elve rafting, Bangkok shopping, Bangkok sykehus opphold, øy hopping til frivillig jobbing på hunde kennel. Så mange inntrykk på kort tid og allikevel er det de tidligere gatehundene hos Soi dog som vant mitt hjerte! De har 300 hunder på kennelen sin bare i Phuket, så mange VIDUNDERLIGE sjeler som bare venter på ett hjem. Noen er forlatt, sultet, mishandlet eller forsøkt smuglet til Vietnam for å bli brukt i kjøtt handelen. Der blir de pint langsomt, flådd levende og dør den mest grusomme døden tenkes kan. Så jeg er VELDIG fornøyd med å si at jeg allerede 12timer etter min hjemkomst har funnet en hund fra Soi dog nytt hjem i Norge:)) Nå er det "Noi" sin tur!! Hun var min absolutte favoritt blant 300 hunder og jeg falt fullstendig for henne. Hun er rolig, snill, går fint i bånd, elsker mennesker og gir MASSE kjærlighet. Hun har vært på denne kennelen lengre enn de fleste, 3,5 år, og UTROLIG nok har ingen adoptert henne enda. Om du kan hjelpe, eller kjenner noen som kan så VÆR SÅ SNILL å gi meg beskjed! Jeg ordner alt det praktiske, er også villig til å strekke meg litt økonomisk for Noi. Kom igjen, hjelp meg å hjelpe denne skjønne hunden!!

I`m just back from an amazing trip to Thailand (will post pictures later). I`ve been on a jungel trip, elephant riding, tiger training, river rafting, shopping, hospital stay, island hopping and last but not least, working as a volunteer at the Soi dog shelter in Phuket. Off all these nice experiences, the Soi dog shelter work was my absolute favorite!! They have over 300 dogs only in the Phuket shelter, most saved from starving, abuse or even worse the dog meat trade business. This is so awful, the dogs that are not saved either die during transportation in OVERLOADED cages or dies the most painful, slo wly death you can imagne. I`m therefor SO HAPPY to announce that after only 12h in Norway, I managed to get the first Soi dog a home in Norway!!:) So now it`s "Noi" s turn!! I`m determined to find my favorite dog of the 300 dogs there, a good forever home! She can be transported worldwide and I will arrange with all the paper work, I just need to find an ADOPTER!! She s a real sweetheart, approx 4 years old, been living at the shelter for 3,5 years already!! She is a favorite amongst the employees there and I find it AMAZING that she hasnt been adopted yet! She s very calm, kind, walks good on a lead, affectionate and LOVES people. She will LOVE YOU to death:) PLEASE help me save this beautiful girl, share with friends and family and get back to me if you know of a good home for her!

Hi, I`m Noi! I´m a very friendly dog that loves people. I`m very affectionate and patient

but 3,5 years in a shelter is a LONG time. I´ve seen so many dogs get adopted, each time a volunteer comes to visit I get my hopes up.. It has to be my turn soon???

My only dream is to have my own family that will love me and I will be the most loyal, happy dog ever!

Maybe YOU can help me?? That would be a DREAM COME TRUE!!

What inspires you??

Det er jammen lenge siden jeg har vært her nå, faktisk så lenge at jeg hadde glemt passordet mitt:)
Først vil jeg benytte anledningen til å ønske alle ett godt nyttår, håper 2012 blir FANTASTISK!! 2011 var ett veldig vanskelig år for meg, og uten å gå inn i personlige detaljer håper jeg at 2012 skal bringe meg masse LYKKE, helse og kjærlighet!
Samtidig som huset ble rimelig ferdig skjedde det masse på hjemmefronten som gjorde at jeg mistet all motivasjon for blogging. Jeg ble fakstisk fysisk kvalm av å tenke på interiør og blogging, og har derfor heller ikke besøkt andre blogger på leeeenge. Jeg konkluderer nok engang med at livene våres er ganske overfladiske og at det som er viktig for meg er mine nærmeste og ikke minst mine firebente venner:)
Det eneste som har gitt meg inspirasjon i en tøff tid er å prøve å hjelpe mine firebente venner som lider mest mulig. Faktisk er det meste annet lagt på "vent" og min tid, energi og mine kroner som er tilovers har gått til dette. Det føles FANTASTISK, som om dette er meningen med MITT liv. Det er så mange som lider og omtrent 100% av disse lidelsene påføres av mennesker, så dess mer jeg ser dess mer skeptisk til folk blir jeg. Jeg mener ikke at jeg ikke liker mennesker mer (LOL), men HVORFOR tror mange at vi står "over" andre levende vesner, HVORFOR ikke behandle både dyr og mennesker med respekt og omsorg, slik vi ALLE fortjener?? Så det blir nok en stund til jeg blogger om interiør igjen, imellomtiden skal jeg reise litt, hjelpe flere dyr også sees vi forhåpentligvis plutselig igjen;) Under er ett lite bilde galleri av noen av stakkarene som har klart seg, andre ikke. Til felles har de alle at de er desperate, søkende, lidende og at de absolutt IKKE har fortjent deres dårlige skjebne!!
Min oppfording til alle for 2012 blir å hjelpe noen som trenger det, uansett hva du brenner for! Hjelp naboen, barn i nød, dyr i nød, ikke stu bort dine familiemedlemmer på uverdige steder deres siste leveår men BRY DEG!!! Vi sees plutselig igjen:)

I havn`t been posting for so long that I actually forgot my password!
First of all, I want to wish you all a happy new year, hope it`s gonna be a GREAT year!!
2011 was a very difficult year for me personally and I really hope 2012 will bring me lots of happiness, love and good health!
At the same time as the house was finished, I had things going on at home that made me loose all my inspiration. I actually got sick thinking about interior design or blogging so I haven`t even visited any blogs for a long time. Once again I realised our lives are quite superficial and the most important things for me is my loved ones and my four legged friends that always brings me joy! So the only thing that inspired me lately is trying to help our "furfriends" in need. I spent most of my energy, time and money trying to help saving as many as I can and it feels GREAT!! I realised this is what I was "born" to do, I only wish I could do it for a living. So many animals are in great pain and unfortunately most of this pain is caused by humans. This makes me sick and I wonder how some people think we humans have the right to treat other creatures bad, without respect or with pure evil!?? Everybody deserves the same respect you expect from others, regadless of race, breed, animal/human, I think this is the very first thing we should ALL teach our children!!
So, Ì think it`s gonna take a while before I go back to interior blogging (but who knows;), in the meanwhile I`m gonna travel a bit and save some more animals:)) The pictures are all of dogs that were desperate, sick and put away to die, some made it, some didnt, but NONE desverved the bad treatment some humans gave them!!
So my wish for 2012 is that everybody start to CARE more, regardless of what your case is! Help a friend, help animals, help children in need, and take care of your family, don`t let them spend their last years alone, afraid and without beeing loved!! We`ll suddenly meet again;)

Jeg har endelig fått flyttet inn på hovedsoverommet og tenkte i den sammenheng å delta på NIB sin november utfordring, men det rakk jeg visst ikke... Her er uansett noen bilder. Fra soverommet har vi også direkte adgang til mitt "marokkanske bad" som kun er adskilt med en glassvegg.

Jeg er ikke fan av mange bilder overalt men liker bedre å dekorere med speil, tapet eller tomme flater. Jeg finner derfor sjelden bilder jeg liker men her er ett knippe etniske, vakre bilder jeg gjerne hadde sett på mine vegger.

Dark bedrooms

For meg er det helt nødvendig at ett soverom er mørkt! Det er både fordi det gjør rommet lunere og enklere å sove i, men selvsagt også fordi det er utrolig lekkert! Kan ikke tenke meg noe verre enn ett hvitt, upersonlig rom man skal sove i, det tar jo bort hele lysten til å hoppe til køys spør du meg;)

When it comes to bedrooms, they have to be dark! Thats because it gives the room a nice atmosphere and makes it easier to sleep , but off course also because it is so elegant! I can`t imagine anything worse that a white bedroom without personality. No, make the bedroom dark, sexy, exotic and inviting;)

Jeg er så glad for at det har kommet tilbake masse fint interiør som er gull farget!! I lang tid så man sølv overalt men endelig er favoritten tilbake, me like!!:)

I`m so glad we finally got gold back in the interior design! For way to long we saw silver everywhere but finally my favorite is back! Me like alot!!;)

Morocco in a different way

Jeg var jo på en litt annerledes ferie i Marokko i sommer. Som regel dreier det seg om interiør, soling, shopping, gode restauranter og kule klubber når jeg er der nede. Denne gangen dro vi til Essaouira og la ut på en 2 dagers ridetur med overnatting i telt. Det var sannsynligvis den beste Marokko opplevelsen jeg har hatt (og jeg har hatt ENDEL..;) Jeg planlegger i disse dager en ny tur til Marrakech i slutten av november (kanskje du vil være med?;), men her kommer noen bilder fra min siste tur:)

I went on a different trip to Morocco this summer. Normally it`s all about interior shopping, spa, restaurants and enjoying life whilst in Morocco. This time it was about enjoying life the REAL way, as for me means nature, horse, dog and silence. We went on a 2 days horsebackriding trip from Essaouira and spent the night in a tente. It was the most fantastic trip I`ve ever had to Morocco (and I`ve had quite a few;) I`m planning a new trip to Morocco end november, "unfortunately" we will be going to Marrakech this time;) Here are some pictures from my last trip:)

Jeg har funnet en ny, svensk interiørbutikk som jeg har falt helt for. Den heter "DIS" og er fantastisk, akkurat min stil!! De har gjort flere fantastiske prosjekter også, og her kommer den første i en rekke jeg vil vise dere. Det er "Puro beach Mallorca" og dette stedet må være så nærme himmelen man kommer. Jeg vil dit NÅ!!

I`ve found a new, swedish interior shop that I`ve fallen for. Their interiors are SO my style, exotic and different! The name of the shop is "DIS", and they`ve also done a few interior desogn project. Here is the first of many projects I will show you, it`s "Puro beach Mallorca". Absolutely STUNNING, I wanna go there NOW!!

Da er det på tide å hive seg rundt, skjerpe seg og komme skikkelig igang med treningen igjen. Jeg er ikke av de som tror på å slanke seg for å oppnå gode resultater, man må være "fit" og stram, det hjelper ikke å være tynn i min bok;) Jeg har blitt super inspirert av en amerikansk fitnessguru som tidligere var overvektig og sier som henne, "I believe I can do it!!". Jeg skal prøve første treningsprogram av "JNL fushion" idag og er superspent! Jeg vil ha den rompa!!:)

It`s about time to get a grip and seriously step up my workout. I don`t believe in just loosing weight and get thin, you have to be fit and tight to look good! I`m so inspired by an american fitness guru, she used to weight 94kg and is now the most sexy women on the earth. So I repeat her words "I believe I can do it" and head for the gym. Today I`m gonna try out one of her JNL fushion programs and I`m really excited. I want that booty!!:)
